He has reached this incredible feat in 436 matches at an average of just over 44 and S/R of around 80.
Having surpassed Lara as the leading test run scorer the argument that the little Master is the greatest cricket batsman of all time grows ever stronger.
Almost 5,000 runs ahead of Ricky Ponting it seems this feat will never be matched.
