First of all a friendly three days before the season kicks off is really strange to me. I can imagine Premier managers ranting about not having the bulk of their squad the week before their first game so that they can prepare properly.

But does England follow the approach used by the managers of Netherlands, Brazil and France to pick
their squads for the upcoming Friendly Matches. The managers of these three nations have axed most of their world cup squad and instead have called up youngsters with a view to give themexperience for the future tournaments or just to rest some of their top players. Should this approach be used by Capello in their upcoming friendly against Hungary?

Maybe take a chance on a lot of these for the friendly with 5 or 6 of the big names coming back for the qualifier.

Hart, Cahill, Shawcross, Dawson, Jagielka, Baines, Huddlestone, Rodwell, Johnson, Young, Bent, Agbonlahor, Walcott

So who would get the nod for your England team on Aug 11th or don't you really care?

Dawson, O'Hara, Daniel Sturridge, Adam Johnson, Scott Parker, Jack Wilshere and maybe even Chris Smalling. Each one of these players has had some kind of hype but have not had a chance top represent their club so are not even considered for international selection (eg. Sturridge) or they have had a good season, such as O'Hara and I'd like to see how they got on playing for their country. God knows why Parker didn't get a look in at the World Cup!!!

Dont care who he picks, as long as they are not Chelsea players.

Fucking selfish decision to have a friendly at this time - I hope no1 goes to the game and TV audiance is the lowest ever.
