Hello everyone ~ Sad how that episode has turned out.

Happy someone thought of this move ~ Just felt I was starting to be accepted when the mod bomb went off

Once all who swim over join up, you can make the decisions what you want to do with the old place.

Red knows his way about the Admin tools & I dont see why you cant all put forward someone to become a Mod to help Red run n promote the board, unless you just want to keep the place private for you guys.

Just a thought.... Anyone who signs up for this place.... Sign up with a different password to what you signed up at the other place. You would be amazed how bitter n twisted people can become when they have one of your passwords.

I've basically told everyone about this place. Except for the people I mentioned in my first post.

This isn't an us vs. them thing either. I will still continue to post over there if Something grabs my attention, as I will post in the Everton forum I'm a part of as well. I also will still post in the Off topic forum(even though it's very rare). All I want is for all of us to stay in touch and be able to continue talking with each other. It's a good solid group of people and there's no reason we can't all continue.

I am severing my ties with RATW.  The place has become, to use busby's terms, PC hypersensitive.  I've popped into Off Topic, read some stuff that annoyed me, kept my mouth shut because I would need a fireproof suit to prevent combustion from the flaming I would get.  As I said to shadylane, it's bizarre.  You can have an opinion, as long as it coincides with the moral majority .... if you don't, you're ridiculed for your dinosaur beliefs.  

Since my ONLY reason for being there was football, and those are now coming here, I soon will disappear.  I'd like to continue with my EPL weekly thread here instead of there.  Sure, they are for Canada, but a lot us are here for now - like it or lump it.  

I don't have a man crush on busby, but once he said he was going - that was the writing on the wall for me. I've always enjoyed his postings and perspective through the years. 

I was sad Milt left, then sort of indifferent when he returned.  It looks like he's changed, and family matters can do that to you.  I let the group know when I was/still/am hurt to account for my absence.  I didn't expect anyone to give a feck - but those few in that forum were the closest 'friends' I have/had here/there.  He didn't seem to give a shit about us, so, you know ... here we are.

PS, I LOVE that I can use my proper size avatar and signature.  PLUS I can edit without it showing how many times I've edited my post.  Ever since that fall, I cannot believe how difficult it has become to put thought to paper.  I reread shit after I post it and go, wtf was I trying to say?  lol.

Great to see everyone here. Frankly, I don't expect much to change from the other place, I just figured I'd rather not be a part of that. Bit of a fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. If I had hung around after all that baloney it would have been on me.

Gonna throw the link on one of my google+ Arsenal sites.  The one site I frequent the most has 24,000 members.  I'm sure it will be taken down by the mods, but, there are quite a few there that have a real opinion and would enjoy a site of varying supporters .... that currently don't want to glass each other in the face.

Seen the chat, just did not venture into it as of yet.

I am surprised at that Busby. The way the whole episode was handled one would have thought their aim was to get people to leave. Having obtained their objective you would have thought they were celebrating.

What I find equally weird, is that whatever that was said was so bad for the public that it had to be removed ..... however, simply asking a mod to see the posts appears to be quite acceptable?

I agree, there was nothing in it.

The black hooker post was offensive and no mods thought anything about it. My post the video from Not the nine o 'clock news about women's football could also been seen as insulting to women but was allowed to stand.

So the warning was selective and you have to wonder if it was given because of who posted it.

I have resisted up to now to read whats being said there and will continue to do so.

Never read what Milton had to say on anything after the first couple of weeks of becoming a member, but felt the way he talked down to the members on his return, as thou he was the returning hero to save the day, was extremely low.

I believe you summed that up in a post very well Busby, just before I decided to give the board a miss.

Of course it was the poster...I mean, he's had both of the deleted posts in the brief history of that forum.

I posted a pile of stuff that never got looked at, which in my view wasn't anything to bat an eyelash at but given the reaction to DWB's posts, it was just as bad if not worse.

And Milton popping in just to pile on after being a ghost for a year is just the hilarity that did it for me. And I know he's reading this but I made the decision to bugger off long before this was an option. He should reevaluate his relevance to that forum.
