| Swiss prosecutors have opened a criminal investigation into Sepp Blatter, the head of the world football body Fifa.
The attorney general's office said he was being investigated "on suspicion of criminal mismanagement as well as - alternatively - on suspicion of misappropriation".
Mr Blatter was being questioned, and his office was searched, it added.
Really amazed at how this whole investigation reminds me of Watergate. The authorities keep moving up the chain of command and Blatter keeps throwing his underlings under the bus. With FIFA suspending Blatter's right hand man Jerome Valcke pending investigation into ticket allegations, the investigation has finally reached Blatter
Are we finally going to see Blatter charged or will he wiggle out of this as well?

| Rumours that Platini is implicated as well. Supposedly received a payment from Blatter. I would love if both of these ***** go down.
Seems like the shit could be hitting the fan for real now.
Former FIFA executive Jack Warner will face an extradition hearing in December after authorities in Trinidad and Tobago quashed attempts to have the case against him tossed out, officials said Friday.
Warner would sell out his mother to safe his skin, what ever he knows he will trade for a better deal from the authorities.

| Visa, Bud, Coca-cola, and McDonald's. Only Adidas hasn't come forward.
His Lawyer has issued a defiant statement. http://talksport.com/football/fifa-sponsors-call-sepp-blatter-resign-president-immediately-151002168972
Pressure will have to be kept up by these sponsors for him to go without a replacement.

| Looks like he and his cronies are done. It's a 90 day suspension, but since he was to be finished in February anyways - will he actually be able to sit in his chair again?

| It's another nail in the coffin, but it is a big coffin with lots of air holes and enough food and drink to survie for a long time.
Until Blatter, Platini, and Valcke are banned for life or in jail, I can't help but feel that the main culprits will wiggle off the hook.

| I think it's gone from casually eating popcorn, to this. Still a ways to go, but they're slowly getting there. | |

| Absolutely fantastic. Especially that the self-appointed weasel in waiting Platini is clearly tarred with the same brush. Good effing riddance to the lot of them. Thieves and conmen.
Any chance we could trade them to Syria for 100,00 more refugees?
