As England lick their wounds from a humiliating 7 and a bit session defeat to "An average Aussie bowling attack", England national selector Geoff Miller has refused to rule out recalling Surrey batsman Mark Ramprakash for the decisive fifth Ashes Test at The Oval.
A season average of over 100 for Surrey but hasnt played for England since 2002.
A lot of the recent former players say England should not re-jig the side too much with as many 5 players positions with a ? over it. Cook, Bopara, Bell, Harmison, Onions, with Anderson and Swann being criticised for poor performances with the ball. 5 of those 7 have been sent back to their County sides for match practice (Anderson and Harmison still with England).
There were so many glaring mistakes in that 2 day test match it was amateurish and laughable. When pundits praise Broad and Swann for "excellent knocks" in this situation then you know you have problems.
News on Flintoff better come in the next few days or just rule him out now. As Australia showed - if you bowl enough good balls in the right conditions you will take wickets.
