£60 I believe, is the going rate for a ticket for a test match in England these days....thats £60 per day.

£60 for a hard days battle against the Aussies....maybe worth it.

Watching this test against Pakistan, and indeed the last test, makes me wonder if the fans are getting their money's worth. Pakistan have now batted poorly in 3 consecutive innings and are already out of this match...with a defeat guarenteed unless the weather intevenes.

Should tests against these lesser nations be cheaper? Should these nations even be allowed to play tests after such a poor showing? Why are we playing a 4 test series against a side as poor as this....and how did they take a test from the Aussies not 2 months ago?

I am reluctant to suggest that there should be some sort of tiered standings for the 10 or so test nations, whereby the top 5 at any time can only compete against the top 5, and the bottom 5 can only compete against the bottom 5. Surely, all we should be striving for are competitive matches and Pakistan have shown so far that there is no sign of this.

Bangladesh is another farce. There is no way they can beat England in a test match. They couldnt even beat the England Lions in a warm up game....and then they move on to play the senior side. Laughable.

Something has to be done, simply about the money the fans are expected to play to see these walkovers.

Yeah, it does seem to be alot of money for a sub standard test.

Pakistan are building a new team with alot of youngsters, so I guess if you are buying a ticket to watch them, you should have some idea the test maybe a bit one sided.

I think the people who run English cricket have been guilty for a number of years of creaming fans of their money with games of a low standard. Since they started to bring countries like Zimbabwe Bangladesh ect over for a couple of tests before the big country visit our land, they have been accused of palming those games off onto Durham's ground.

You only have to look to how they have flogged 2020 cricket to death this season to see what they are driven by.

Test cricket should be on the saved for bbc\itv list.

Is it fair to save the entirety of test cricket for the terrestrial list, or do you just the home tests. Either way, its not fair on the sport.

Cricket should have as much right to sell its product to the highest bidder as every other sport does.

Perhaps saving the home aussies tests for terrestrial would be the equivalent of saving the world cup finals and fa cup finals and wimbledon etc, but all home tests? I dont think so.

More and more people have Sky now, that this sacred list must be less of an issue than ever before?
