Was reading the post game comments on the Sheffield Wednesday/Reading game. Brian Laws the Wednesday manager was talking about how the trip down from Sheffield to Reading had a lot to do with Wednesday's performance in their 6-0 loss.
The team coach left Sheffield at 8am and didn't get to Reading until 3pm, they ran into hit accidents on the M1 and the M40 and ended up sitting on a coach for seven hours.
Wednesday does have financial problems, but surely there is a better way to get to Reading from Sheffield than by coach?
I used to remember as a home fan jeering the visiting teams coach as they pulled into the stadium. Do teams in the Premier still get to and from games by coach or is this just something still done in the lower leagues?
