FANTASY LEAGUE--CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Ok, a new fantasy league competition for TF. A similar format will be created to the Champions League and teams will be drawn etc similarly to the way Red created his first FA cup-esque knockout tournament.

I will sort all these to start in GW22, (GW21 is the next one). This allows people to make extra transfers and take their points deductions this week, as opposed to the first week of this tournament. This will allow any languishers at the bottom of the league to make an overhaul of their side if need be and actively take part in another TF competition.

A quick word on the format. Two groups will be drawn of 5, from our ten participants in the TF league. The top 4, from that table of 10 at the end of GW21 will be seeded. Top of the group will not necessarily be drawn with 4th in the group, but the 4 teams will definitely be split 2 in each group. Each team will face the other side once. After these 4 games each, the top 2 will progress.

The semis and final will be two legged affairs and overall their will be 8 weeks of competition. This will take us from GW22 to GW31, leaving those still in with a league title shot, to focus on just their charge to the top. A 3rd place playoff will probably also occur. Ill draw the groups, in this same thread, shortly after the end of this weekend. Cheers guys.

I have omitted GW25, because this is when Utd make up their 2nd game in hand, giving teams with Utd players the advantage. Each of the weeks, specified here contain the full 10 fixtures...no more no less. The schedule IS subject to change if Premier League games are rearranged. Fixtures will only take place if the full compliment of 10 games is to be played.

Congrats to those teams that won this week. United 4ever is sitting pretty at the top of Group A, but everything is still close there. InjuryFreeSeason's defeat leaves Group B even wider open. All teams can still qualify, just, going into the GW 25 break. Time to make extra transfers and come back strong for GW26.

1 more place is up for grabs, to be contested between InjuryFreeSeason, K Class and ABCDE FC, of which Ticks team is in pole position.

United 4ever have been on top top form and their performance in this competition should be commended, alongside West Spam Utds performance considering their bottom of the overall league status (remember this team joined late).

So, the final fixtures of group B are the ones to watch, with the top side and qualifiers Sharples FC having played all of their games already. A straight shootout for the final semi final spot.

Champions League Semi Final Results

In the first semi final, a dramatic week 30 saw my team, ABCDE FC finally pull their finger out and get a result. This was the silver cloud to Utds defeat at Fulham. Nonetheless, United 4ever will still be the team that has lost the least times in this tournament.

In a closely contested 2nd semi, Sharples FC just manager to hold on as West Spam Utd mounted a late comeback. There will be no 3rd place playoff, so West Spam United and United 4ever can consider themselves to have come joint 3rd in this competition, nice ones guys.
