With the England squad still to be announced in 4 hours time, the Press Association have reported that early indications show David Beckham HAS NOT been picked in Capello's 30 man provisional squad for next weeks midweek International friendly vs Switzerland, meaning that Beckham is set to miss out on his 100th international cap.

Have to agree with Beckham not being picked. has not played a competitive game since October and hardly any at all since he left Real Madrid. Supposed to be training hard at Arsenal and he has been flying around the world the last two weeks promoting "Brand" Beckham.

Capello has to reduce the 30 down to 23 by Saturday. So which 7 are getting cut?

Probably doesn't need three keepers for a friendly so one may be dropped. With 12 defenders named I would think the bulk would come from them. A couple of midfielders and a striker to be dropped.

Just a guess but,

Kirkland Davies, King, Brown, Carrick Wright-Phillips, and Heskey to be dropped.

I'd have to go with Kirkland, Davies, Brown, Heskey, Upson, Jenas and King.
