With England not naming their side till before the toss tomorrow it seems ever more likely that Stuart Broad will be brought in and Monty Panesar will be dropped, one other change could see Middlesex batsman Owais Shah brought in to replace Ian Bell.
With talk of a "different surface" and the need for "reverse swing" neither of these changes will come as much of a surprise, but pressure will fall on Monty to improve or risk losing his position in the future.
Or they could stick to 2 spinners and swap Broad for Jimmy.
Adil Rashid is tipped to be the answer to England's spin problems, he is a very promising wrist spinner who has been working with the Performance Squad, (currently with this squad as back up), Boycott is a huge fan of his (well playing for Yorkshire you wouldnt expect any different, lol), the guy can bat too, couple of first class hundreds and his fair share of half centuries averaging 30+. Seeing as England have him there, why dont England use him?
Anyhow, with confidence low after the last cock-up England need a performance which doesnt leave them thinking "if only...", the mindset has to be to go out and win, not to play to avoid an embarassing defeat. Make use of a good position and be agressive when you have to, England will need to be the better team for all 5 days, if they can restrict India's batsman to low scores, and get all bowlers to bowl agressive lines, they have a chance...this should be a formality for India, lets hope England can spoil the party.
